About Us
WHO ARE WE?!
The brand “Pillari Dhoti”, which gains it’s name from the Weaving grandmaster Mr. Pillari Chetti, was started in 2023 by third generational aspirant who is vivid in expanding the heritage and pride of silk weaving to the wider current generation.
Our journey began in 2016, driven by a third-generation aspirant determined to bridge the gap between traditional handloom dhotis and contemporary styling. Fueled by the motto “connect youngsters with culture”, we embarked on this mission by pioneering the first Instagram page exclusively dedicated to dhotis back in 2016 during the founder’s final days of school,
Fast forward to the present, Pillari Dhoti emerges as a testament to perseverance and passion. Originating from the realms of traditional silk dhoti weavers, we now endeavor to captivate Gen Z, igniting their admiration for the timeless elegance of silk dhotis.
WHERE TRADITION JOINS HANDS WITH INNOVATION
Yet, we are not bound by tradition alone; we embrace innovation and challenge conventions. Our designs seamlessly blend traditional motifs with contemporary aesthetics, offering a fresh perspective on this age-old garment. Whether it’s a classic dhoti for formal occasions or a trendy ensemble for casual outings, Pillari Dhoti caters to diverse tastes and preferences.
What distinguishes us is our unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity. Each dhoti is meticulously crafted using premium fabrics and adorned with intricate embellishments, ensuring not just style, but also comfort and durability.
For us, wearing a dhoti transcends mere fashion; it’s a celebration of culture, heritage, and identity. Join us on this journey where every dhoti narrates a story, and every wearer embodies pride and belonging.
Our Motto is to Connect Youngsters with the roots of our Indian Culture.
